Mauricio Villavecchia (Barcelona 1955), music composer and discographic producer, works in cinema, TV and dance. In 1976, he founded the group Casavella, based in his compositions. In the 80's he lived in the U.S.A, where he estudied a master in music in the New England Conservatory of Music. Once back in Barcelona he works in education and establishes the group "Vox Populi" whose first disc is distingued as "catalan disc of the year 1994". Since 1996 he is mostly working in composing and production via his producer Villavecchia Music: music for TV (TV3 sounding logo), dance performances (Gelabert-Azzopardi company), sound tracks for movies (Iris) and documentaries (Un instant en la vida aliena) and music expositions ("Holly Week of Conca Musem" and "Agua Recurso Único" for the Universal Exposition of Zaragoza 2008).
